VRadio and Uncommon Grounds presents the 3rd Saturday Artist Spotlight this Saturday, September 20th. The event will be hosted by Irenka and will feature Derek Gayhart, Ally Bee and Layna Bug, Jo'Shua Odine, Hollie Poole, and Robert LaSalle. Join us for a night of musical variety featuring indie folk, blues, soulful rock, alternative, and even some reggae.
Doors will open at 6:30 and the music will begin at 7:00 pm. There will be a $5.00 cover and a $5.00 fork fee (BYOB).
Wood has written some of country music's biggest hits: "Bobbie Sue" for The Oak Ridge Boys, "Twenty Years Ago" for Kenny Rogers, "What I Didn't Do" for Steve Wariner, and David Ball's "Riding With Private Malone." All four songs received BMI awards for being played over a million times.
Alan is a modern-day touring troubadour as well as a prolific writerwhose songs have been recorded by George Jones, The Oak Ridge Boys, Tanya Tucker, Del McCoury, Toby Keith, Ricky Van Shelton, Lorrie Morgan, Suzy Boggus, Jimmy C. Newman, Lee Greenwood, Billy "Crash" Craddock, and Michael Martin Murphey (among many others!) Some of his "biggest" songs are "I'll Be True To You," "Trainwreck of Emotion," "Wild-Eyed Dream," and "Christmas To Christmas."

Our monthly Music-In-The-Round hosted by Bud Tower on the 4th Saturday. Top songwriters from today and years gone by will favor us with some great songs and stories.
